The second bible that I ever read through completely was the New American Standard Bible. At the time, I couldn't have been more ignorant of the various bible versions. One of their claims to fame was that they often capitalized pronouns when they referenced deity. “The Rock! His work is perfect, For all His ways are [a]just; A God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and upright is He. You can see both the words "his" and "he" have been capitalized.
In scanning other versions, the KJ21 does so, Young's Living translation was that dumb and so are a scattering of other versions. English does not have proper pronouns. There is simply no book on earth that brings more honor and glory to the triune Godhead in all of his glory than does a King James Bible. It does so without proper pronouns. If you read Deuteronomy 32:4 as it is quoted in our opening verse, you will see that God is given great glory with standard pronouns.
Perhaps after slighting his deity in Luke 2:33 wherein the NASB calls Joseph the Father of Jesus Christ, or after watering down his deity in 1st Timothy 3:16, the NASB sought to wrap God in a purple robe to compensate for the beating. Nevertheless, their effort to exalt God by giving him proper pronouns is just silly neo-evangelicalism. It's not good English.
What troubles me more, is the increasing tendency I have seen among Fundamental writers to capitalize pronouns that reference Jesus Christ. This is a combination of bad English, New Age creep and sloppy agape. I am currently reading a book by a Fundamental Baptist Pastor who has attempted to write a sobering book about how Satan attacks churches. His subject matter is well thought out. He has quoted a lot of scripture and quoted well. Yet, he adds a false piety in capitalizing pronouns which refer to Jesus Christ.
Keep in mind, if pronouns referring to deity need to be capitalized, your king James Bible is wrong and needs to be updated. It is not wrong.
