Concerning Comments

Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causeth to err from the words of knowledge, Proverbs 19:27.
Many of our readers have noticed that all comments have been erased. I regret the necessity. Of the over 2200 comments accumulated on the 672 posts, the vast majority were either malicious spam, links to porn sites, advertisements for gambling sites, or various services.
I spent the better part of a day trying to clean them up and finally realized that I had allowed it to go on for too long and that I just did not have the time or inclination to go through every post cleaning up the nonsense. What we lost were many insightful comments, useful criticisms of what was written, compliments to certain posts, and outright vilifications of what was written.
I feel a sense of loss having erased those. I get occasional people querying me about a frequent commenter by the name of Nic. He disagrees with the premiss that the King James Bible is infallible. He is often snarky, and he makes it plain that he thinks that our stand is hurtful. Nevertheless, he has never crossed any boundaries whereby I would erase his comments. In fact, on one post he exposed an error I made, and I thanked him for that.
He is one of many people who seek "proof" that our claims are about the King James Bible are true. What proofs will such people accept? There are now many books demonstrating the accuracy of its translation. There are now many books demonstrating the accuracy of the texts used by its translators. There are now many books demonstrating the effectiveness of its unique writing style.
About 20 years ago, I quit trying to convince the "brethren". Most are a quarrelsome lot who are far more comfortable not having any final authority. The idea that a book resting on my pulpit is more authoritative than their combined bible colleges, associations, and conferences is repugnant to them.
The idea that a 20 year old newly converted church member with barely a high school diploma can learn more by adhering to the exactness of a King James Bible than they can with their extensive library of commentaries is just too much for them to swallow.
My ministry is to the church members who have watched their churches dwindle as the flashy any-bible-goes crowd spirit away their children and friends to sway and swoon in their temples of contemporary nonsense. I seek to show them how the underpinnings of Western thought were swept away through the three great lies of the 19th century.
1. Darwin: Men evolved they were not created.
2. Marx: The distribution of property should be controlled by the state.
3. Westcott and Hort: God did not preserve his word perfectly so that any man could read the perfect word of God.
Like a man who takes a lethal dose of radiation, the Western World did not immediately collapse. It has gone on and been weakened decade after decade as those three deadly concepts work themselves into the sinews of all thought. I seek to open the eyes of the deceived. I have witnessed the awakening of churches to righteousness as they purged the flotsam and jetsam of higher education's shipwrecked thinking.
My ministry is to the church dropout for whom the shallow promises of today's fundamentalism proved worthless in their lives. I have found that restoring their confidence in a King James Bible has allowed the Holy Ghost to minister to those places in their lives wherein they have failed or been hurt.
This isn't theory. This is a process that I have watched work over and over to enrich lives, heal families, recover the fallen and, and to spread joy through the righteousness of Jesus Christ.
Please feel free to leave comments. I can kick the abusers out from their membership which is needed to leave a comment, but there is an inexhaustible ability to create new email addresses and identities with which to come straight back on. I will try to keep up with the policing. Already, in the first 48 hours one enterprising sneak has come back and advertised again. I erased his comment and I will kick him off again, but he probably has more time than I do.
I want to thank all of you who have left sincere comments. That includes those who disagree.
